México ahora: “A widespread youth movement similar to what happened in the Arab countries.”

Standard

Angela Meléndez shared this video on Twitter. Professor John M. Ackerman from Universida Autonoma de México speaks about the protests in reaction to México’s July 1 elections:

Peña Nieto protesters take over Mexico City

Worth taking a look. Angela correctly noted that “this is how BBC and CNN should have reported.”

Do you think we, as a global community, should respond to the protestor’s sign “United Nations Help Us!” If so, how?

Yes we should, and I can assure you it is not an ideological issue. Protesters are crying for help, some of them do literally cry. Some of the organizers live with fear of getting abducted, or hurt due to the constant threatening. And more importantly the enemy is the media saying nothing is happening. Truth is: people didn’t celebrate Peña Nieto’s so-called ‘triumph’, there have been many protests, one after the other in different dates in every major city. Mexico needs him out. How? Pressure !

What do you think?
